The surgical finishing touch for your body feeling
- trans* men are often bothered by the feminine hip contour that makes passing more difficult.
- trans* women often suffer from a straight torso without a waist or a lack of volume on the hips and buttocks.
At the Praxisklinik am Rosengarten, our surgical team uses the most modern liposculpting techniques. We don't just suction off fat – we use it (if needed) to redesign proportions.
Masculine Body Contouring (V-Shape)
-
The Problem:Stubborn fat deposits on the hips, flanks ("love handles") and outer thighs create a pronounced fullness of the hips.
-
The Solution:We straighten the flanks through precise liposuction. The transition from the broad back muscle (latissimus) to the hip is modeled linearly.
-
High-Definition:If desired, we can also finely work out the abdominal muscle contours (six-pack outline) to enhance a sporty look.
-
The Effect:Clothing fits better, shirts no longer pull at the hips, and the upper body overall appears more massive and masculine.

Feminine Body Contouring
(Hourglass & Curves)
The goal is a softer silhouette with a defined waist and fuller curves. Since the bony pelvis in trans women is often narrower, we have to trick visually.
-
Define the waist:We specifically suction off fat on the abdomen and flanks to shape the waist as narrow as possible ("snatching the waist"). This creates a more feminine line.
-
Build curves (lipofilling):The suctioned-off fat is pure gold! We gently prepare it and inject it into the hips (filling hip dips) and the buttocks.
-
The Effect:By removing from the waist and adding to the hips, we change the ratio (waist-to-hip ratio). The body immediately appears more feminine, even if the bone structure remains the same.

Gentle, safe and permanent
-
Scars:The incisions are tiny (approx. 3 mm) and are placed so that they later disappear in the bikini zone or natural skin folds.
-
Combination:Body contouring can be excellently combined with other surgeries (mastectomy or breast augmentation). This way you save yourself one anesthesia and downtime.
Frequently asked questions about Body Contouring
We are happy to answer your questions about the treatment here.
For lipofilling (fat transfer to the hips/buttocks for feminization), we need fat reserves. In very slim patients, this is difficult. In that case, we focus on defining the waist during body contouring or discuss alternatives (e.g. implants, although we prefer your own fat).
Once fat cells have been removed through liposuction, they do not grow back in that area. The result of body contouring is permanent, as long as you keep your weight stable.
Testosterone helps with fat redistribution, but the bony pelvis and stubborn fat deposits on the flanks often remain. Body contouring is the most effective way to permanently remove these genetic stores and straighten the torso (V-shape).
With body contouring for feminization, we are less concerned with an extremely large bottom, but rather with widening the hips and filling in the lateral dimples (hip dips) to create a harmonious, feminine hourglass figure
Usually no, as it is considered an aesthetic procedure (regardless of whether masculinization or feminization). We mostly offer this as a self-pay service, which we can combine cost-effectively with the main surgery.
